Jack Daniel’s announced a nationwide U.S. release of its American Single Malt Whiskey on August 25, 2026, expanding access beyond the select duty-free shops that previously carried the expression.
The whiskey
The mash bill is entirely malted barley. Production takes place in Lynchburg, Tennessee, with sugar maple charcoal mellowing followed by maturation in new charred American oak and an Oloroso Sherry cask finish.
The nationwide release is bottled at 90 proof (45% ABV). Jack Daniel’s announced a suggested price of $74.99 for a one-liter bottle, with limited quantities available during the fall rollout.
Tasting notes and earlier coverage
The producer’s release announcement describes oak, fruit and cocoa aromas, followed by chocolate, nuts and berries and a sweet Sherry finish. These are the producer’s notes, not a Whiskey Scene tasting.
In his 2023 review for Breaking Bourbon, Eric Hasman found the earlier travel-retail expression approachable and sweet, with restrained Sherry influence. That review predates the nationwide release and should be read in that context.
What the wider release changes
The practical change for U.S. readers is access through domestic retailers. Local stock and shelf prices may vary; the announced suggested price is a reference point rather than a guarantee.

Correction: An earlier version misstated the nationwide release’s proof. It is 90 proof.
